Captain
Bona was appointed a member of the Fire Department July 6, 1900;
promoted to the rank of Lt. May 18, 1911, and promoted to the rank of
Captain on November 1, 1917. During his Service
his record has been excellent. His career has been a varied one,
having served in Engine Co. 20, H. & L, Co. 12, H. & L. Co. 26,
Engine Co. 58 and H. & L Co. 38.
Captain Bona's , name has appeared on the Fire Department Roll of Merit twice. Because of his recognized abilltv, he has been detailed as an Acting Battalion Chief for almost twenty years.
